Yes, Ella will have a brother!! Around 10th of April. Today we went for the sonogram (ultralyd) at the hospital, everything seems fine. You can soooo see who he looks like, right? ;-)
The italian neighbours invited to dress up for Halloween and visit all our other neighbours. It was fun, Ella enjoyed being a bat, and was happy with a small cracker and no other "treat"!
Mid October we went to a cabin in the mountain of Hemsedal with Ellas auntie Åse Berit and uncle Terje, pluss their two girls Marte og Synne. There was some snowfall, and we made our very first snowman. Ella also had her first trip in this backpack, which she accepted when she figured out it was a nice walking movement to fall asleep in.
Finally, "mormor og morfar" (Ellas grandparents) could come with us to New York to meet daddys family again, and join this year's big event: Christina (Geraldys sister) & Logan getting married!!
In May-June we had a period of about 6 weeks were Ella and her friend Maria were playing together 4 days a week. Two days we took care, and two days Marias parents took care. That way the parents could slowly get back to work. This was a very nice preparation of being away a little bit from their parents before "barnehagen" (Kindergarden) starts. The brunette and the blond was confused as twins, just because they sit in a twin stroller... or maybe because they were so extremely qute together! :-)
During Easter we were lucky to meet Great Grandma on a very good day, were she was joking with Ella and we took some nice pictures. She is also the one that has sown all the national costumes for the whole big family, generation after generation. Ella is no.49 of her great grandchildren!! Later this June she passed away, almost at the age of 96 years old. Ella will have some memories and pictures of meeting her great grandma – bless you!
Yes, it has been quite a long time since we last updated this blog. Here are some highlights from the last 8 months....... Ella is wearing her first National Costume on the 17th of May – Norway's Independence Day.
